AI-powered hackers deter banks from blockchain
CoinDesk·
Traditional financial institutions are hesitant to move trillions of dollars onto the blockchain due to pervasive security risks, particularly AI-powered hacks. CertiK CEO Ronghui Gu reports that April saw near-daily exploits targeting smart contracts and cross-chain bridges, making it the worst month for DeFi in four years. These sophisticated attacks, often accelerated by AI, drain significant funds and expose systemic vulnerabilities. The high cost and constant nature of these exploits create an 'unfair game' where attackers' resources far outweigh those of defenders, hindering institutional adoption.
