Anodot breach exposes over a dozen companies
TechCrunch·
A significant cybersecurity incident at Anodot, a business monitoring software provider, has resulted in a data breach affecting at least twelve of its corporate clients. The notorious ShinyHunters hacking group is reportedly behind the attack, threatening to publish stolen sensitive data unless a ransom is paid. This breach highlights a growing trend of attackers targeting software vendors to gain access to multiple organizations simultaneously. The hackers allegedly exploited authentication tokens, enabling them to access customer data stored in cloud environments, with Snowflake being one of the affected cloud storage providers. Rockstar Games has confirmed a limited data compromise, stating it has no impact on their operations.
