Apple shares user data with law enforcement

Apple's 'Hide My Email' feature, designed to mask user email addresses from apps and websites, has been bypassed by law enforcement. Court documents reveal Apple provided federal agents with the real identities of at least two customers who used this privacy feature. The FBI and Homeland Security Investigations obtained account holder information in investigations involving alleged threats and identity fraud. While Apple touts end-to-end encryption for iCloud, it still retains and provides customer data like names and billing information to authorities upon request, highlighting the limitations of email privacy.
