Aptera assembles first validation electric vehicles
Ars Technica·
Electric vehicle startup Aptera has successfully assembled its first five validation models on a new low-volume production line in Carlsbad, California. This milestone marks a significant step forward for the company, which has been developing its unique three-wheeled, two-seat EV since 2006. Aptera aims for high efficiency, boasting a potential 400-mile range and integrated solar panels. Despite a long development history with several previous iterations and ownership changes, the company is now focused on refining its manufacturing process to prepare for customer deliveries, leveraging data from these initial builds.
