Arturia recreates legendary Memorymoog synth
The Verge·
Arturia has launched Memory V, a software emulator designed to replicate the iconic Moog Memorymoog synthesizer. This legendary instrument, produced from 1982 to 1985, was renowned for its massive sound, often described as six Minimoogs combined, and was among the first synths to feature MIDI. Despite its sonic prowess, the Memorymoog was also known for its unreliability and high cost. Memory V aims to provide musicians with the coveted Memorymoog sound and features without the significant maintenance issues or prohibitive price tag associated with the original vintage hardware, making this classic analog sound accessible to a new generation of artists.
