FBI builds town to simulate cyberattacks
The Verge·
The FBI has established a 22,000-square-foot Cyber Range in Huntsville, Alabama, designed to simulate realistic cyberattack scenarios for training and research. This facility replicates a small town, featuring essential infrastructure like a convenience store, gas station, hospital, and residential homes, all interconnected as they would be in a real community. It includes a data center with over 200 servers that can be subjected to hacking and malware infections, allowing agents to practice defending against and responding to sophisticated digital threats in a controlled environment.
