Google Meet AI takes notes for in-person meetings

Google's AI-powered meeting notetaker, Gemini, is expanding its capabilities beyond Google Meet. It can now generate summaries and transcripts for in-person meetings, and also works with platforms like Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Previously, in-person meeting support was restricted to alpha testers and Android devices. This new functionality allows for seamless integration into both scheduled and impromptu meetings, even without a dedicated meeting room. Users can transition to a standard video call if remote participants join. This broadens the utility of AI for meeting productivity across various platforms and scenarios.
