Google is experimenting with a conversational AI search feature for YouTube, dubbed "AI Mode." This new search experience aims to provide results that feel more interactive, integrating longform videos, YouTube Shorts, and relevant text. Currently, the feature is available to YouTube Premium subscribers in the US who are 18 or older. Users can access the "Ask YouTube" button within the search bar, which also suggests example prompts for various queries, from entertainment clips to educational summaries.
