Kelp DAO bridge exploited for $292 million

Kelp DAO's cross-chain bridge, powered by LayerZero, was reportedly exploited, resulting in the loss of approximately $292 million worth of rsETH. An attacker drained 116,500 rsETH from the protocol, with the transaction occurring on Saturday. Kelp's emergency multisig contract was activated about 46 minutes after the exploit to freeze the protocol's core contracts, successfully blocking two subsequent attempts to drain funds. The attacker's wallet was reportedly funded through Tornado Cash, a common method for obfuscating illicit transactions in decentralized finance.
