Roger Linn, a pivotal figure in music technology, is renowned for creating groundbreaking instruments like the LM-1 and LinnDrum, which revolutionized music production with sampled sounds. These iconic drum machines were integral to numerous 1980s hits and were famously used by artists such as Prince. Linn's most significant contribution, however, is widely considered to be the MPC, developed in partnership with Akai.
