Philips Hue adds wired modules for non-smart lights
The Verge·
Philips Hue is expanding its smart lighting ecosystem with new wired wall modules that allow users to integrate traditional, non-smart lights. These modules are installed behind existing wall switches, bringing a wider range of fixtures into the Hue app and automation capabilities. Additionally, the company is introducing more affordable versions of its Play lamps and upgrading its E14 candle bulbs with enhanced white light spectrum and Matter-over-Thread support. While the new lamps and bulbs are available globally, the wired modules are currently limited to the European market, with no immediate US release planned.
