Roku's Howdy service expands to Prime Video
TechCrunch·
Roku has launched its $3 ad-free streaming service, Howdy, on Amazon's Prime Video, marking its first expansion beyond the Roku ecosystem. This move makes Howdy's extensive library of nearly 10,000 hours of content, featuring titles from major studios and Roku Originals, accessible to a wider audience. To subscribe via Prime Video, users need an Amazon Prime membership or a standalone Prime Video subscription. Roku acquired Frndly TV last year, and Howdy was designed to complement, not compete with, premium services, aiming to make great entertainment more accessible at an affordable price.
