Samsung app uses sound to combat motion sickness
The Verge·
Samsung has launched a new free Android application called Hearapy, designed to alleviate motion sickness symptoms through auditory stimulation. The app plays a 100Hz sine wave tone for 60 seconds via headphones, aiming to stimulate the inner ear's vestibular system, which governs balance and orientation. Users can adjust the tone duration between 40 and 120 seconds, with the core function intended to provide relief from the discomfort of motion sickness during travel.
