Sierra Acquires AI Startup Fragment for Integration

Bret Taylor's customer service startup, Sierra, has acquired the YC-backed French AI firm Fragment. Fragment specializes in helping businesses integrate artificial intelligence into their operational workflows. This marks Sierra's third acquisition, following recent purchases of Opera Tech and Receptive AI. The founders of Fragment will join Sierra, bolstering its agent development efforts. While deal terms were not disclosed, Fragment was estimated to have raised approximately $2 million in seed funding. Sierra itself is a well-funded venture, having raised over $630 million to date.
