Sony hikes PS5 prices globally by $100

Sony is implementing a significant price increase for its PlayStation 5 consoles, effective April 2nd. The standard PS5 will now retail for $649.99, a $100 jump from its previous $549.99 price. Similarly, the Digital Edition sees a $100 increase to $599.99, and the PS5 Pro will cost $899.99, up from $749.99. This marks the second price adjustment in under a year, following a $50 increase last August. Sony attributes these changes to ongoing market pressures and rising costs.
