Tinder uses OpenAI CEO's orb for verification
The Verge·
Tinder is integrating World's identity-verifying orb, co-founded by OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, to allow users to prove they are real people. This initiative aims to combat bots and AI agents by requiring users to physically visit an orb for facial scanning and verification. The service, which began testing in Japan last year, is now expanding to select markets, including the United States. Successful verification will reward users with five free boosts within the Tinder app, encouraging adoption of this new security measure.
