Accel, Prosus Fund Six India Startups

Accel and Prosus have launched their inaugural joint accelerator program in India, selecting six startups focused on science-led themes with long development cycles. These companies, chosen from over 2,000 applicants, span sectors like healthcare, climate, and space, tackling undefined markets and challenging measurement criteria. The program aims to support 'off-the-map' ideas, providing co-investment ranging from $500,000 to $2 million per startup. This initiative prioritizes technical breakthroughs over rapid growth, offering a unique funding structure designed to reduce early dilution for founders with long-term potential.
